Nirav J. Modi
Chief Executive Officer
Nirav is a dynamic leader and industry thought leader with a background in technology. He co-founded Carium, as well as incubated and led the Blue Planet software division of Cyan (acquired by Ciena). He has built a successful career as an entrepreneur and innovator across multiple industry verticals.
He is passionate about enabling better healthcare experiences and redesigning
care models that enable better outcomes
and drive lower costs.
Nirav holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering
from the Illinois Institute of Technology and
an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.


Kelly Pizoli, RN
Health Advocate
Kelly is a compassionate, experienced Registered Nurse (RN) that has worked in both hospital and outpatient settings, helping to treat, educate and advocate for a diverse patient population.
Kelly has a passion for nutrition, fitness and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle as a way to prevent disease. She enjoys helping to educate members on the benefits of health and wellness to help them become the best version of themselves.
Kelly received her BSN from the University of Rhode Island and is currently studying to become a certified health and wellness coach


Trista Corker
Chief Operating Officer
Trista is an experienced senior operations executive with a successful track record of running complex operational environments and teams across multiple technology companies including Calix and Cyan
(acquired by Ciena).
She has a relentless passion and ability to establish high-quality, efficient operational processes that drive positive results for
the business, including identifying and
onboarding the right partners to facilitate Cevona's success.
Trista holds a B.S. in Accounting and an
M.B.A. from San Francisco University, and
is a certified C.P.A.


Ginny Proestakes
Advisor
Ginny is an accomplished former senior executive from GE. She led GE's benefits strategy and was at the forefront of many innovative health benefit initiatives that influenced other large employers.
She actively advises Cevona based on her first-hand experience in the design and implementation of self-funded health plans, intricate knowledge of the landscape and purchaser perspective.
Ginny holds a B.S. in Nursing from Southern Connecticut State University and an M.P.A in Healthcare Administration from the University of New Haven.


Mike Hatfield
Executive Chairman
Mike is a technology pioneer and visionary. He has co-founded four successful tech ventures over the past 20 years; Cerent, Calix and Cyan and Carium. Mike builds highly performant teams, and drives their success through his extraordinary leadership and experience.
He actively advises Cevona in his role as Chairman. His interest in healthcare is driven by his motivation to help make it more personal and shift the focus to what matters for the patient.
Mike holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Mathematical Economics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. in Finance from Indiana University.


Duncan Gallagher
Advisor
Duncan is a highly successful former health system senior executive. He was CAO and
CFO to both Allina Health, Minneapolis, MN and UnityPoint Health in Des Moines, IA.
He has a deep understanding of the entire healthcare ecosystem and actively advises Cevona on how to navigate relationships
with health systems, providers as well as employers, as well as lends strategic insight into market dynamics.
Duncan holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from the University of South Dakota and an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Minnesota.


Jay Parkinson, MD, MPH
Advisor
For the past 14 years, Jay Parkinson, MD, MPH, has been building services that explore what the internet means to healthcare delivery. In 2012, he created Sherpaa (which was acquired by Crossover Health) and pioneered Virtual Primary Care, which delivered 24/7/365 primary care across 48 states.
His expertise lies in healthcare delivery, the future of primary care, design and healthcare business model transformation.
He is a physician who trained in pediatrics
and preventive medicine at Johns Hopkins University.


Kara DeMaio
Design Lead
Kara is a designer with advanced experience managing comprehensive aspects of major design projects, providing art direction and marketing consultation in diverse industries, with a focus in hospitality and healthcare.
She is excellent at producing visually appealing and brand consistent designs
while maintaining highly efficient leadership and management practices to reduce production expenses.
Kara holds a B.S. in Advertising Communications, a Master's Certificate in Design and Illustration, and an M.A. in Integrated Marketing Communications.
